1. Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
2. Cook the Shrimp
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same pan, add remaining butter.
- Sauté garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add chili flakes (if using), broth or wine, and lemon juice.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
4. Combine
- Return shrimp to the pan.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed for a silky texture.
5. Finish & Serve
- Stir in parsley, lemon zest, and Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately while hot.
