1. Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Add warm water and olive oil.
- Stir until a sticky, wet dough forms (do not overmix).
2. First Rise
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel.
- Let it rise at room temperature for 1–2 hours, until doubled and bubbly.
3. Shape the Bread
- Lightly flour a surface and gently turn out the dough.
- Do not knead — just fold it over itself a few times.
- Shape into a rough rectangle or divide into two loaves.
4. Second Rise
- Transfer to a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Let rest for 30–45 minutes.
5. Bake
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crusty.
6. Cool
- Let cool on a rack before slicing.
